A poll conducted by Hogs Haven, a website for NFL fans, has predicted a 3-2 record for the 1982 season for the Washington Commanders. Washington has home games on the Jaguars, Eagles and Titans and travels to Dallas and Detroit. In this poll, fans are making predictions for free agency and the draft, as well as potential UDFA hopefuls. Most predicted that Washington would have a winning record, but only 5% predicted fewer than two wins through the first five games.


It’s official. The Washington football team has a new name: the Gridlockers. Former cornerback Fred Smoot led the charge for this name, imagining the FedEx Field crowd yelling “Commanders!” as the team ran onto the field.
